Disclaimer & Purpose:

Historic Pension Arrears Receipt!

This season truly gives us many reasons to celebrate.Along with the joyful colors of Holi, RBI pensioners are experiencing a historic moment — the long‑awaited Pension arrears have finally been credited. This is a milestone that will be remembered for years.

A Historic Moment for RBI Pensioners

For the first time ever, arrears have been paid from the date of the last pay revision (November 2022). This is a proud and gratifying achievement made possible through persistent, collective effort. Heartiest congratulations to everyone!

We again express our sincere thanks to the RBI, the Finance Ministry, HRDM, Central Office, and all individuals who worked tirelessly to make this possible. Your dedication has ensured that retirees receive the recognition they deserve.

Why We Built the Arrears Bifurcation Calculator

Receiving a large arrears amount in one financial year can affect your taxes. To help pensioners understand the impact and decide whether to split the arrears across financial years (as allowed under Section 89(1)), we created this calculator. It simplifies a complex tax calculation so you can make an informed choice.

  • How to Use the Calculator
Enter your Revised Basic Pension (as per the 1.63 FACTOR) from your pension slip as on JAN 26. Click “Generate Report”.
  • Explore Details: The first table provides a period-wise breakdown of your arrears. You can click on any row (marked with a ▶) to expand it and see the month-by-month rounding details. This month-wise view helps explain how the final figure is arrived at, matching the pattern of your official Samadhan slip. Instantly view a detailed and reconciled arrears report
  • Form 10E Instructions: The second section is crucial for tax planning. It provides the exact, consolidated figures you need for each Financial Year (FY 2022-23, 2023-24, 2024-25, and 2025-26) to fill out your Form 10E on the Income Tax portal.
You can also download or print a clean PDF copy of the report.

A Small Note
Although the calculator closely matches official figures, minor differences may occur due to rounding or individual adjustments. Always use your official Samadhan figures for final tax filing.

Holi Greetings!
As you plan your finances, we wish you a joyful and memorable Holi. May this festival bring color, prosperity, and peace to everyone.
Happy Holi!
