The Department of Posts, via India Post Payments Bank (IPPB), has introduced a new doorstep service to help pensioners submit their Digital Life Certificates (DLC). This service aims to make the process easy and convenient.

  1. Paperless and Hassle-Free Process:
    • The DLC submission process is now completely paperless, seamless, and hassle-free.
    • Pensioners are not required to send the acknowledgment of Jeevan Pramaan to the pension drawing office.
  2. Aadhaar Registration Requirement:
    • To generate a Digital Life Certificate, your Aadhaar number must be registered with Samadhan.
    • If there is any doubt regarding the registration, email a copy of the Jeevan Pramaan acknowledgment along with your Aadhaar details to your pension paying office (retireesndro@rbi.org.in for New Delhi Office) to prevent rejection of the DLC.
    • Aadhaar Number: Ensure your Aadhaar number is registered with the Reserve Bank.
    • Existing Mobile Number: Required for authentication.

  1. Doorstep Service Details:
    • The Department of Posts, through IPPB, offers a doorstep service to pensioners for submitting their DLC from the comfort of their homes.
    • This service is available for both IPPB and non-IPPB customers.
  2. How to Avail the Service:
    • Contact the nearest post office or place a request for a doorstep visit by the postman/Grameen Dak Sevak.
    • Schedule a doorstep request through the Post Info app or the website .
  3. Instant Certificate Generation:
    • The issuance of the DLC is a completely paperless, seamless, and hassle-free process, and the certificate is generated instantly.
    • Upon successful completion, a Pramaan ID is generated and shared with you by NIC directly.
    • The DLC can be downloaded through the link 
      jeevanpramaan.gov.in/ppouser/login.
  4. Nominal Fee:
    • A nominal fee of Rs. 70 (inclusive of GST/CESS) will be charged for every successful generation of DLC.
    • There will be no additional doorstep charges for IPPB or non-IPPB customers.
