RBI has launched a new scheme for hiring retired officers of the Bank on contractual basis.The exercise shall be taken up twice a year (in April and October) as per the process outlined in the Bank’s Circular uploaded on retirees portal EKP
Eligibility:
I. not be more than 63 years of age on the date of declaration of vacancy.
II. direct work experience of not less than 3 years within the last 5 years from the date of retirement in handling the particular job for which he / she is applying.
III. requisite expertise and must be meeting specific professional qualifications, if any, as specified by the Bank.
IV. satisfactory service record in the Bank.
The retired officer should have served the Bank till the age of 60 years.
Officers who take / had taken Voluntary Retirement can also apply but their application should be first routed to HRMD, Central Office for clearance before it is taken up for further processing.
VI. should be in reasonably good health to discharge his/her duties effectively.
VII. willing to work at the place of posting for the entire duration of the contract.
VIII. should not have any proceedings pending against him / her in a court of law as on the date of applying.
IX. The retired officer must either not be in another job in any capacity as on the date of applying or should furnish an employer’s certificate to the effect that, if selected, he / she would be released to take up contractual employment with the Bank within one calendar month of the date of the offer.
