After the expiry of the earlier cashless GMP policy under MAFS taken on August 14, 2021, RBI has placed the policy again with Iffco Tokio General Insurance Co. Ltd. for the period of one year (15-8-21 to 14-8-22) on the mutually agreed terms and conditions as per Bank’s letter dated 14th August,2021.

TPAs would settle the claims within 15 days provided all the documents are submitted and are in order.
- Important Features at a Glance
- There is a change in the Third-Party Administrators (TPAs) allocations.
- MAF members can use MAF membership card / Retired ID card issued by the Bank for admissions and procedures under GMP 2021-22.
Members who have not received their MAF membership card can use the new TPA cards issued by their respective TPA for the year 2021-22. - Cyber Knife Treatment / Robotic Surgery: To be covered up to sum insured.
- Liability for Functional endoscopic sinus surgery (FESS): To be covered up to
sum insured. - Please note, claims where date of admission is up to 14th August 2021 will be as per 20-21 TPA allocation.
Intimation of hospitalization should be done within 30 days from the date of admission.

My mother is a RBI family pensioner and her Covid hospitalization claim was denied recently by IFFKO TOKYO citing reason of delay in submitted the documents for query raised. The REQUIRED documents were submitted within the mentioned time limit at RBI Patna counter but was not collected by Medi Assist for almost two weeks. Tried contacting MedI assist Patna representative but not much of a help. I am not sure if this is right forum to raise this but if anyone can help me with contact email where I can raise this issue, that would be of great help. Thanks!
