Bank has circulated the Group Mediclaim Policy 24 policy for retired MAF members for the period January 01, 2024, to December 31, 2024 (GMP 2024).
MAF members can use MAF membership card / retiree ID card issued by the Bank or TPA card/e-TPA card for admissions and procedures under GMP 2024. All claims pertaining to MAF members will be settled by the designated TPA, irrespective of the place of treatment.

Important changes in Group Mediclaim Policy:

i. Health India TPA has been replaced with Paramount TPA. Details of the TPAs allotted with jurisdictions are here.

ii. There is an increase in bed charges and ICU charges as under:

iii. Special nursing charges for all for a maximum period of 60 days after hospitalisation, if recommended by attending doctor or hospital.
iv. Claim processing to be done basis on photocopies of investigation reports. Only in mandatory conditions, insurer may ask for original reports.
v. Any further new advancement in treatment modalities to be covered if it is a part of IPD-hospitalisation on actual basis.
vi. Goods and Service Tax should not be clubbed with room rent for arriving at eligibility.
Intimation of hospitalisation should be done within 30 days from the date of admission.
In reimbursement cases, claims along with all relevant documents must be submitted to the respective TPAs within 45 days from the date of discharge.
Reimbursement claims will be settled by TPAs within 15 days, post submission of all requisite documents.
In case of prolonged hospitalisation where the claim is on reimbursement basis, the designated TPA should be informed during the period of hospitalisation.
