We embed below the letter dated 24th March 2020 to the Governor with a request to evolve an urgent system to supply the medicines from office dispensaries to the retirees residences in view of the Lock down and curfew imposed in many states.

In the present circumstances, it has become almost impossible for the retirees to travel to the bank dispensaries only for getting prescribed medicines more often repeated by BMOs in the dispensaries concerned.

Even Prime Minister is reported to have recommended Telemedicine in respect of Govt. Pensioners under CGHS.

When essential items such as food, groceries, medicines etc. have been allowed to to be delivered to residences by the Governments as per the advisory, the bank should also evolve system as suggested in our letter for delivery of medicines to retirees residences.

Hoping for a positive response from the Bank !
