Dearness Relief for RBI Pensioners -78 slabs more from February 20 to July 20

Labour Bureau, M/o Labour and employment have made available the following AICPINs for the quarter ending 31st December, 2019:

As the pensioners are being paid Dearness relief at the average 7167 for the half year from August 19  to January 20 , whereas the new average works out to 7479, the increase in DR effective February 20  comes to  312 points or 78 slabs .
Therefore, the  rise comes to 7.8% of Basic Pension.
As such, the total DR payable to all pensioners (other than Family Pensioners/ Ex-gratia recipients) shall be 75.9% of Basic Pension for the half year from February 20 to July 20.
(ii) The Dearness Relief in respect of all family pensioners will be 174% of Family Pension.
 (iii) The in service employees will get 42 slabs more.
